If you’re driven by scale, impact, and the chance to build something iconic from the ground up — Qiddiya is calling Objective / Purpose The Director - Modern Methods of Construction will lead Qiddiya’s strategy for the implementation of Modern Methods of Construction (MMC), including Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA) and modular construction across large-scale, complex projects. This role ensures that Qiddiya remains at the forefront of construction innovation, establishing robust methodologies, fostering strong supply chain partnerships, and embedding DFMA best practices across the Development and Delivery functions. Technical Responsibilities Define, implement, and oversee Qiddiya’s DFMA and modular construction strategy in alignment with the organization’s delivery objectives. Lead research and development (R&D) initiatives to evaluate emerging MMC technologies and recommend adoption pathways tailored to Qiddiya’s portfolio. Provide technical leadership and subject matter expertise to business units and delivery partners on the integration of DFMA principles in project planning, design, and execution. Establish and manage a framework for evaluating suppliers, manufacturers, and technology providers within the DFMA/MMC ecosystem. Collaborate with design, engineering, and construction teams to embed DFMA principles from concept through delivery, ensuring measurable efficiencies in time, cost, and quality. Develop policies, procedures, and technical guidelines for modular and prefabricated construction within Qiddiya’s delivery governance system. Coordinate knowledge-sharing sessions and training initiatives across internal teams and delivery partners to build organizational DFMA capability. Monitor international MMC/DFMA trends, benchmarking against global best practices, and apply insights to Qiddiya’s development program. Identify and mitigate risks associated with modular and prefabricated construction methodologies. Act as the primary liaison with specialized consultants, industry experts, and academic partners in advancing DFMA and MMC innovation. Support the Strategic Delivery Unit – Delivery Partnerships Lead in strategic planning, ensuring modular/R&D initiatives are integrated into the broader Delivery Partnerships roadmap. Oversee pilot projects showcasing MMC/DFMA innovation, capturing lessons learned for replication across the portfolio. Degree: Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field. Experience: Minimum 15–20 years in large-scale project delivery with at least 7–10 years in DFMA, MMC, or modular construction leadership roles. Licenses / Certifications: Chartered Engineer (CEng), PMP, or equivalent professional certification preferred. Specialized training in modular construction, prefabrication, or DFMA methodologies desirable. Skills: Strong leadership, stakeholder management, negotiation, and change management capabilities; proven track record in innovation adoption and cross-functional delivery.
