Responsibilities

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Lead the portfolio and innovation pipeline strategy, development and deployment for the Modern Oral category, ensuring competitiveness both short-term and long-term
  • Define portfolio, range and pipeline role & strategy aligned to the growth agenda
  • Lead the development, planning and deployment of the portfolio in the annual cycle plan
  • Future-proof innovation and portfolio for Modern Oral (Nicotine and Beyond) – opportunities for M&A, SR&D devt in pouches, consumables and other formats
  • Partner with SR&D, Global Modern Oral portfolio team and US & Global Business Development team to develop the portfolio & ensure alignment in Category goals
  • Ensure a commercially viable pipeline of innovations that meets the regulatory requirements e.g. PMTA, MRTPA etc
  • Ensure products developed/ acquired meets our high standards of quality and product delivery
  • Develop the go-to-market strategy to bring our best-in-class products to our Adult Nicotine Consumers
  • Own and drive the end-to-end NPI (new product introduction) life cycle. This includes the launch strategy, campaign development & marketing mix, channel and retail execution, business case management and commercial delivery
  • Partner with the trade, growth management and performance team to deliver an optimized, integrated channel mix & state prioritization (Archetypes) to maximise impact & efficacy at retail
  • Strategic Project Management (brief, develop, deploy, track etc) and collaboration with external / cross-functional partners (innovation agencies, creative agencies, activation agencies) to deliver the required plan
  • Deliver the commercial agenda, and maximise return on investments:
  • Evaluate the Modern Oral business model, proposing areas of optimization to ultimately drive a sustainable growth model
  • Drive growth marketing- ensuring all investment levers are dynamic and optimized to yield intended results with the right plans, interventions and contingencies
  • Collaborate with marketing finance to develop business cases for new/ strategic investments and ensure accountable performance tracking and PIRs are met
  • Partner with I&F team (US & Global) to deliver an insights-backed plan
  • Understand our consumers’ adoption curve, drivers, pain points, competitive landscape
  • Right size market opportunities (market sizing, opportunity mapping, growth/ gap management)
  • Identify consumer learning gaps and research plans to generate consumer insights that feed into the brand, portfolio, commercial development process
  • Work closely with legal and regulatory teams to deliver all required elements, and meet our Responsible Marketing Standards/ Framework in all marketing initiatives
  • Play an active role in leading the Velo team (currently 3- Senior Managers & Lead Managers)- with a focus on development, culture enhancing and capability building initiatives. Create a trusting relationship, setting clear expectations and providing regular feedback and coaching.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration and driving accountability as brand lead across key stakeholders & multiple functions- internally and externally.
  • Help G37 Manager succeed by supporting areas such as cross functional collaboration, global team alignment, leadership team meetings and other governance meetings narrative prep as well as creating a cohesive and positive innovation team culture.
