Job Summary: Oversees a team of managers and staff in the month-end close net revenue reporting. Supervises and reviews the month-end close net revenue reporting process, as well as balance sheet and income statement account reconciliations. Reports monthly net revenue results to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and the regional finance teams. Works closely with the net revenue staff for the accurate reporting of net revenue numbers each month. Assists in the standardization of net revenue reporting policies and processes within the net revenue department and ensures the following of policies. Job Requirements: Education and Work Experience: Bachelor's Degree in finance or accounting or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Required Master's Degree in business administration: Preferred Seven years' experience in an accounting role within a healthcare environment: Preferred Five years' leadership experience: Preferred Licenses/Certifications: Certified Public Accountant (CPA): Preferred Essential Functions: Works with reimbursement, revenue cycle and the regional finance teams to understand the monthly net revenue projections prior to month-end close. Reviews all month-end journal entries prepared by the net revenue senior and staff team members prior to the entry being posted. Reviews the calculated net revenue results completed by the reimbursement senior and staff team members and analyzes results. Understands any deviations from projections, trends and budget. Reviews close packages prior to being sent out, and coordinates, oversees and participates in various monthly net revenue close meetings with regional and market finance officers. Ensures the reimbursement team members adhere to month-end close checklist, timeline and policies. Reviews all net revenue month-end reconciliations (balance sheet and income statement). Assists in the development and documentation of standardized policies and procedures around net revenue reporting. Coaches/mentors analysts to help them improve the quality of their work and develop their careers. Supervises employees in accordance with the organization policies and applicable laws. Assumes responsibility for interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
