Description

Impact XM is a global leader in event and experiential marketing. We are looking for a Director, New Business Development to join our team in Windsor, UK.
The Director, New Business Development (NBD) is responsible for identifying and cultivating new business opportunities to increase revenue and Impact XM’s brand presence. The NBD engages in all stages of the sales cycle; from prospecting and qualifying opportunities to leading capabilities presentations, preparing responses to RFPs, leading the pitch process, as well as negotiating contracts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Greater than $3 million in closed new business annually.
  • Generate new leads; identify and contact decision makers, screen potential business opportunities.
  • Take ownership of all new opportunities (both self-derived & assigned) to help drive the overall sales strategy.
  • Lead all aspects of capabilities presentations, sales presentations, pitches, and proposal generation.
  • Manage internal and external stakeholders throughout the sales process and ensure the delivery of a winning proposal.
  • Monitor and evaluate industry trends and customer drivers; meet regularly with management to discuss strategy.
  • Maintain CRM accuracy and forecast.
  • Travel to events for business development purposes, prospect / client meetings, engagement of new client contacts and project delivery.
  • Successfully lead the transition of the client moving from the new business development team to the account management team.
  • Adhere to all Impact XM processes and policies accurately and efficiently.

REQUIREMENTS:

Reporting to the VP, New Business Development, the Director, NBD has 6-8 years of direct industry experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have experience with CRM software and have knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of software.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Bachelors degree in the arts (BA) or sciences (BSc) from four-year college or university; and a minimum of 6 years’ experience in the event marketing and/or trade show industry; and 2 years’ experience in business development in the event marketing and/or trade show industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
