What You Will Do: The Director of New Sites is responsible for orchestrating the complex undertaking of establishing a new region of Bottom Line. They refine the new site strategy and playbook and ensure regions have the guidance and support needed to operationally launch all new Bottom Line sites. Serving as the central connector between national teams and new regions, this role ensures that subject matter experts across all national teams including Operations & Finance; External Affairs, and Impact provide the right training, tools, and guidance at the right time. While the Director may lead select trainings, the bulk of content delivery is facilitated by departmental experts, with this role orchestrating sequencing, clarity, and follow-through. By coordinating cross-functional support and managing site readiness, onboarding, and early operations, the New Sites Director ensures that each new site is fully prepared to deliver high-quality programming from day one. The Director of New Sites combines national strategic oversight with hands-on support for individual new regions during their first 24-36 months of operation. They create systems that are easy to follow, transparent for all stakeholders, and responsive to feedback, building trust and alignment between regional staff and executive leadership. This position requires confidence in managing multiple projects with competing deadlines, the ability to operate in ambiguity, and a readiness to test and refine approaches in real time. In doing so, the New Sites Director plays a critical role in scaling Bottom Line’s programming while maintaining consistency, quality, and alignment with organizational values and priorities. Primary Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership (40%) * Develop and execute a national strategy for site launches, ensuring alignment with Bottom Line’s strategic priorities, values, and long-term goals. * Partner with senior leadership to determine launch timelines, staffing needs, and resource allocation. * Establish operational standards, frameworks, and processes that are transparent, easy to follow, and build alignment across stakeholders. * Create strong communication and feedback loops between new site staff, national teams, and leadership to ensure clarity, trust, and responsiveness. * Monitor launch outcomes to identify lessons learned, refine systems, and inform future expansion. * Navigate ambiguity with flexibility, testing new approaches and adjusting based on results and input. Site Launch Implementation and Operations (45%) * Lead all aspects of site launch planning, including staffing, onboarding, training coordination, logistics, technology, facilities, and resource management. * Serve as the central coordinator of cross-functional support, ensuring subject matter experts across National Team Departments deliver timely, sequenced, and relevant training to new site staff. While the Director may facilitate select sessions, the bulk of training is led by departmental experts, with this role ensuring clarity, integration, and follow-through. * Partner with National Team Departments teams to hire, onboard, and develop the first members of new regional teams, reinforcing organizational values and core competencies. * Travel to new regions as needed to provide on-site support, coaching, and coordination for founding staff and regional leadership. * Monitor site readiness metrics and early operational performance through the first 24 months of operation, identifying challenges, addressing gaps, and proactively developing solutions. * Establish documentation systems to capture implementation plans, lessons learned, and progress reports, enabling organizational knowledge sharing and continuous improvement. People Management (15%) * Manage and develop the site launch team, including site leads and project coordinators, ensuring clarity of roles, accountability, and alignment with the national site launch strategy. * Provide coaching, feedback, and professional development to staff, building their capacity to manage both structured systems and evolving challenges. * Facilitate regular team meetings to integrate strategies, share progress, and reduce silos across site launch initiatives. * Set clear performance expectations, monitor progress, and conduct evaluations in alignment with organizational standards. * Model Bottom Line’s mission, values, competencies, and commitment to equity in all management practices, fostering a culture of collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement.
