We are currently seeking a Director of Accounting to join our team in the Tulsa, OK area! WHAT YOU WILL DO

As the Director of Accounting, you are responsible for collaboratively directing with the Senior Director of Accounting regarding the accounting functions of the organization in accordance and in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) as issued by the Financial Accounting Standards Board; and other state and federal regulatory agencies’ oversight requirements. The Director of Accounting will support the Senior Director of Accounting in preparing accurate reporting of the financial position of the organization for the Board of Directors through the Finance and Audit Committees.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Setting strategic direction for the Accounting Department with the Senior Director of Accounting.
• Developing, implementing and maintaining accounting policies and procedures.
• Planning, budgeting and supervising monthly budgets.
• Preparing financial statements, journal entries, and cash flow statements ensuring timely and accurate month-end close.
• Planning, organizing and coordinating monthly and year-round processes with internal staff and external financial auditors and program auditors.
• Ensuring accurate and timely revenue maximization and control, accurate and timely billing, budgeting, expense management, and risk management.
• Pro-active, quick learner with a positive attitude who is willing and able to take direction and move to implementation with a great deal of autonomy, accuracy and timeliness expected.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, complex and busy environment with excellent people skills and the ability to work with others to achieve team results.
