Overview: The Director of Administration is responsible for leading the company’s administrative operations, strategic procurement initiatives, workplace operations, and commercial vendor management functions across multiple business areas. This role plays a critical part in supporting operational scalability, infrastructure growth, and organizational efficiency in a fast-paced technology environment. Key Responsibilities: · Lead and oversee strategic procurement activities for hardware, software, equipment, and business services within a high-tech business environment, including vendor sourcing, supplier evaluation, purchasing strategy, and cost optimization initiatives. · Manage the acquisition and lifecycle planning of manufacturing, production, and operational equipment in partnership with Engineering, Operations, Finance, and IT teams to support organizational growth and business expansion. · Direct large-scale corporate projects including office expansions, facility renovations, workspace planning, infrastructure improvements, and capital projects, ensuring execution within scope, timeline, and budget requirements. · Oversee workplace operations and office planning initiatives, including space utilization, workplace design, operational efficiency, and administrative support services across multiple departments and locations. · Lead complex commercial negotiations with vendors, contractors, suppliers, and service providers, including pricing strategy, service agreements, supplier performance management, and long-term partnership development. · Review, negotiate, and manage contractual and commercial terms to mitigate operational, financial, and compliance risks while ensuring alignment with company policies and business objectives. · Partner cross-functionally with Procurement, Legal, Finance, Engineering, IT, HR, and Operations teams to drive efficient execution of strategic initiatives and enterprise operational priorities. · Develop and enhance administrative, procurement, and operational policies, internal controls, governance practices, and standard operating procedures to improve organizational effectiveness and scalability. · Lead and mentor administrative and operational staff while fostering a culture of accountability, operational excellence, and continuous improvement. · Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, streamline vendor management processes, and enhance workplace and infrastructure effectiveness. Qualifications: · Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred. · 10+ years of progressive experience in administration, operations, facilities, or business management leadership roles. · Proven experience managing facilities, procurement, vendor relationships, and contract negotiations. · Strong leadership, organizational, and project management capabilities. · Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. · Demonstrated ability to lead operational improvements and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
