Position Overview: As the Admissions Director, you will play a crucial role in managing the admissions process, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for new residents and their families. You will work closely with our healthcare team to assess and coordinate admissions, maintain accurate records, and provide excellent customer service.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to respect all members of the healthcare team.
• Solid work history with excellent attendance and punctuality.
• Patience, understanding, and compassion for those requiring our care.
• Previous healthcare experience in admissions or a similar role.
• Strong sense of urgency, self-motivation, and goal-orientation.
• Ability to work flexible hours, as admission/marketing responsibilities may dictate.

• Proactively reach out to and respond to inquiries from hospital discharge planners, families, and other referral sources.
• Serve as the initial liaison with residents and families on facility services and issues.
• Verify potential residents’ insurance and obtain insurance authorization for admission.
• Work closely with the Director of Nursing on each referral.
• Meet with residents or their representatives to obtain necessary personal and financial data to determine eligibility for admission.
• Conduct tours of the facility for prospective clients.
• Assign accommodations for new admissions based on nursing care needs, resident and family preferences, availability of space, and other information.
• Assist the Marketing Director in developing presentations and events aimed at community education and awareness of facility specialty programs and services.
