Description The Director of Advancement is a key member of the development team, responsible for building and managing a portfolio of 100-150 individual and major donor prospects. This role is focused on the cultivation and solicitation of gifts of $5,000 or more. The ideal candidate is a strategic, results-oriented fundraiser with a proven track record of building authentic relationships with donors and securing significant philanthropic support. Requirements Key Responsibilities ? Portfolio Development & Management: ? Manage and grow a personal portfolio of 100-150 individual and major donor prospects with the capacity to give $5,000 or more. ? Develop and implement individualized cultivation and solicitation strategies for each donor in the portfolio. ? Conduct regular meetings and engage in one-on-one communication with donors to build strong, lasting relationships. ? Fundraising & Solicitation: ? Actively solicit major gifts, pledges, and planned gifts to meet ambitious fundraising goals. ? Prepare and present compelling proposals and stewardship reports. ? Work collaboratively with the Chief Development Officer and program staff to align donor interests with organizational priorities. ? Prospect Research & Strategy: ? Collaborate with the Prospect Research and Development Manager to identify new major gift prospects. ? Participate in strategic planning for Xiente's overall fundraising efforts. ? Reporting & Administration: ? Maintain accurate and timely records of all donor interactions in the CRM. ? Track progress toward individual fundraising goals and provide regular reports to leadership. Qualifications ? Experience: ? A minimum of 3 years of experience in frontline fundraising, with a proven track record of securing major gifts ($5,000+). ? Demonstrated success in managing a major gifts portfolio and moving donors through the cultivation cycle. ? Experience working with a CRM database is required; experience with Salesforce is a plus. ? Skills: ? Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. ? Strong ability to build rapport and trust with a diverse group of stakeholders. ? Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. ? Strategic and creative problem-solving abilities. ? Attributes: ? A proactive and persistent approach to fundraising. ?
