Director of Annual Giving Job Description  Dwight-Englewood seeks a dynamic Director of Annual Giving who is a confident, relationship-centered fundraiser whose primary charge is building and sustaining the Annual Fund. This pivotal role is responsible for fostering a deep connection to the school’s mission while growing a philanthropic community. Working in lockstep with the Director of Development and the Alumni team, the Director will transform participation goals into high-impact engagement, utilizing creative events and personalized outreach to secure the resources that fuel the D-E experience. Reporting to the Director of Development, the Director of Annual Giving will have a primary responsibility to create, implement, and manage a comprehensive Annual fund donor relations program with a primary focus on current parents, parents of alumni, grandparents, alumni, and faculty/staff and will promote mission-driven giving, inspire donor confidence and demonstrate impact. RESPONSIBILITIES:  * Design, implement, and execute an annual giving program with targeted solicitations, appeals, and activities to increase participation and gifts * Develop the annual giving appeal plan, calendar of activities/events, solicitation and segmentation methods, donor stewardship and recognition, volunteer engagement, budget, data analysis, and campaign evaluation/progress updates * Develop and execute stewardship strategies for Annual Fund donors and volunteers, including recognition events and multi-platform communications. * Lead, recruit, and train volunteer co-chairs and committee members in facilitating appeal awareness, communication engagement, and events. * Partner with the Director of Development to oversee and implement initiatives supporting the Dwight-Englewood leadership-level donors.  * Develop and implement a donor relations plan to enhance the donor experience and promote a culture of philanthropy through the acknowledgment/stewardship process. * Collaborate to design, write, distribute recognition, and demonstrate impact through various mediums and other stewardship tactics and communications. * Support new parent engagement strategies and attend school events such as parent forums to build and deepen relationships.  * Support The Director of Development in any capital campaign efforts by conducting prospect research and maximizing the use of wealth screening tools to identify major gift prospects. * Manage a moves management pipeline in Raiser’s Edge, tracking and capturing donor engagement activities with an eye on deepening relationships with leadership-level and major gift prospects and donors. * Liaise with the Database Manager to ensure the timely processing and acknowledgment of gifts.  Other duties as assigned include but are not limited to: * Help to contribute to periodic reports for the Board of Trustees and Development Committee. * Work closely, support and coordinate with Special Events, Alumni Relations and the Development Team. * Support all Development events, and other campaigns. Critical Skills/Qualifications: * The ability and desire to work as a collaborative team member while also being able to work independently as required.  * MS Office and Raiser’s Edge (RENXT) * A growth mindset, an attention to detail, and an affinity for mission-based educational philanthropy.  * At least 2+ years of fundraising experience specifically in a school, university, or educational setting is highly preferred. Terms of Employment: * This is a 12 month, on campus, administrative position. * Professional days are considered work days and participation in planned activities is mandatory. * Standard working hours are 8 am to 4 pm with attendance at weekly division/department meetings required.  * The salary range for this position is between $75,000 - 95,000 depending on experience.  Dwight-Englewood offers a comprehensive benefits package including, health, dental, and vision insurance, 403(b) plan, life insurance, tuition remission, and a generous time-off policy.
