Kāhala Nui, considered Hawaiʻi’s premier senior living community, is seeking a dynamic and compassionate Director of Assisted Living & Memory Support to join our team.     POSITION SUMMARY: The Director of Assisted Living & Memory Support is responsible for providing strategic leadership to approximately 50 associates, operational and financial oversight, and high-quality resident care to 62 Assisted Living (AL) and Memory Support (MS) residents. This role ensures that all services are delivered in compliance with state regulations, organizational standards and best practices in senior living and fosters an environment that promotes dignity, engagement, and independence, motivating residents to function at their highest possible level. The Director collaborates with other department leaders to drive operational excellence.   THIS POSITION IS 100% ON SITE, NO RELOCATION.   QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required.  Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Equivalent experience or education may be substituted at the hiring manager’s discretion for educational or work experience requirements.   REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: * High School Diploma or equivalency * 2 years previous healthcare management experience, preferably in an Assisted Living environment. * Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English sufficiently to communicate with residents, families, and associates. * Proficient in the use of computer programs, preferably MS Word, Excel and Outlook. * Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. * Ability to solve problems under minimal supervision. * Ability to work collaboratively with co-workers to achieve positive results. * Proficiency with basic computer functions, including email, web browsers, standard MS office application, and electronic health records systems to document resident care and clinical workflows. * Availability to work varied schedules including weekends and holidays. * Proof of annual tuberculosis clearance in accordance with state regulations. * Valid CPR and First Aid certification PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Current Hawaii state RN or LPN license in good standing * Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, Nursing, Business Administration, Gerontology, or a related field * Current Assisted Living Facility Administrator’s Certification preferred * Experience with resident assessments, care planning quality assurance, and risk management. * Proficiency in electronic health record (HER) systems and Microsoft office applications (word, excel, outlook). * Advanced knowledge of dementia cares best practices and person-centered programming.
