As an AWS Director at EPAM, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing and optimizing cutting-edge cloud infrastructure solutions on AWS for enterprise clients. REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a similar field
  • Extensive experience in designing and architecture for large-scale cloud infrastructure, with expertise in AWS technologies and services
  • Strong knowledge of AWS solutions, including VPCs, EC2, RDS, Lambda, CloudFormation, IAM and networking concepts
  • Expertise in DevOps practices, Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), Terraform, CloudFormation and automation tools
  • Proven experience in cloud migrations, operational modernization and optimizing infrastructure performance
  • Experience with serverless architecture, event-driven systems and microservices is highly preferred
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Golang, Java or similar for automation purposes
  • AWS Professional certification (Solutions Architect/DevOps Engineer) is highly desirable
  • Proven success in pre-sales activities, including solution pitching and advising enterprise clients
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, along with strong client orientation and presentation abilities
  • Analytical and problem-solving mindset with a focus on delivering business-value-driven solutions
Responsibilities
  • Architect, design and deliver scalable, resilient and secure cloud infrastructure solutions on AWS by collaborating with application, infrastructure and business teams
  • Lead the deployment and optimization of infrastructure leveraging AWS platforms, ensuring high availability, fault tolerance and cost efficiency
  • Engage in pre-sales activities, including client meetings, solution presentations, proposals and developing GTM offerings as needed
  • Conduct infrastructure assessments and develop comprehensive migration plans for re-platforming, refactoring or hybrid solutions
  • Partner with stakeholders across the organization to architect solutions that align with business goals, functional requirements and non-functional requirements
  • Innovate and design frameworks using GenAI and automation to accelerate decision-making, enhance operational efficiency and reduce time to market
  • Lead proof-of-concept (PoC) exercises for infrastructure solutions and propose improvements through new technologies and advanced tools
  • Drive DevOps and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) implementation to manage resources and deployments effectively
  • Act as the subject matter expert for AWS infrastructure architecture, advising on best practices for performance tuning, cost optimization and security enforcement
  • Build a culture of continuous learning and innovation in cloud and AI technologies, encouraging teams to stay updated with the latest trends
