We are seeking a seasoned and dynamic Director of Banquets and Event Services to lead our banquet operations and elevate the execution of events across our legendary property. This role oversees all banquet and event service functions, ensuring flawless planning, coordination, and delivery of large‑scale meetings, social events, and VIP programs. You’ll partner closely with clients, hotel leadership, and operating departments to deliver polished, memorable experiences that reflect the spirit and style of The Hollywood Roosevelt. What You’ll Do * Lead the Banquets and Event Services team, providing direction, development, and accountability to ensure exceptional service standards. * Oversee detailing, planning, and execution of group events, meetings, and social functions with a strong focus on efficiency, accuracy, and guest satisfaction. * Manage departmental scheduling, payroll, and day‑to‑day operations while maintaining labor efficiency and high performance. * Review contracts, room blocks, concessions, and event specifications; ensure all details are communicated clearly and executed according to client expectations. * Produce and distribute BEOs and group resumes; maintain deadlines and keep hotel departments updated on program changes. * Partner with Sales & Marketing, Revenue, and Operations to ensure alignment on booking pace, space usage, and revenue optimization. * Evaluate banquet setups, AV needs, food and beverage requirements, and service flow to ensure consistent quality and brand‑appropriate presentation. * Maintain strong client relationships through site visits, planning meetings, pre‑cons, post‑cons, and ongoing communication. * Support cost‑control practices, operational improvements, and long‑term department development. What We’re Looking For * A polished, service‑driven leader with excellent communication, organization, and decision‑making skills.  * Strong experience supervising teams in banquets, events, or hotel operations, with the ability to motivate and guide staff at multiple levels. * Deep knowledge of banquet operations, food and beverage services, meeting room setups, and event logistics. * Proficiency in event systems such as Delphi and diagramming tools. * Ability to manage competing priorities, frequent changes, and tight deadlines with confidence and clarity. * Hands‑on leadership style with a focus on teamwork, accountability, and service excellence. * Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality or related field preferred; 2–3 years of management experience in events or similar hospitality environment.
