This position ensures the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based treatment services in compliance with federal and state regulations, accreditation standards, and organizational policies. The Behavioral Health Program Director provides direct supervision to clinicians, ensures treatment plans and all documentation meets clinical and regulatory requirements, and promotes best practices in substance use and mental health treatment. The Behavioral Health Program Director provides direct billing supervision to clinicians and Peer Support Specialists.   WHAT YOU MUST HAVE: Master’s degree in human services or a related field with a minimum of three (3) years of experience in addiction recovery and co-occurring treatment services. This position also requires a minimum of one (1) year supervisory.  Knowledge of challenges associated with people in recovery is required. Must hold one of the following active Kentucky licenses or certifications: * Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) * Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) * Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) * Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC) * Other qualified behavioral health professionals as allowed by Kentucky regulation * Experience working in a substance use/behavioral health treatment environment and experience with managed care insurance programs is highly desirable. * The position requires proficiency in the following areas: program development and management; marketing and public relations; budget development and financial management; organizational management skills; crisis management; clinical and case management skills; clinical supervision and staff training; and written and oral communication skills.  A major responsibility will be developing new programing for substance use and co-occurring treatment services. RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Supervises clinical therapists, PRN therapists, and Peer support Specialists. 2. Monitors clinical services provided to clients in addiction recovery and co-occurring programs. 3. In collaboration with RST Manager, discharges or transfers from programs when needed, and monitors and completes agency discharges 4. Manages client documentation and assessments, ensuring that clinicians are completing thorough and on-time documentation 5. Triages questions from referral sources about programming, as needed. 6. Manages clinician case load, group sessions, and on-call schedules. 7. Coordinates and evaluates all treatment services (including drug testing, clinical referrals, individual/group counseling sessions, family sessions, education series and aftercare referrals).  8. Collaborate with Director and RST Manager to facilitate all staff meetings 9.   Assists in support of maintaining addiction recovery and co-occurring services Policy and Procedures Manual and program manuals and ensures staff compliance. 10. Manages all Child and Family program reporting. 11. Manages all Child and Family program reporting. 12. Coordinate regularly with Utilization Management team to ensure that billing for services is timely and accurate. 13. Provides crisis intervention and assists in emergency consultation as needed. 14. Provides supervision and performance review to clinical management staff. 15. Provide Clinical Supervision to agency therapists/counselors as AODE Clinical Supervisor role through regulations. 16. Serves effectively as a consultation resource for staff and clearly communicates clinical expertise. 17. Effectively works to maintain Behavioral Health Services Organization KARS standards along with AODE, CARF, ASAM and Medicaid standards and takes prompt, effective action to correct any deficiencies in coordination with Senior Director and Director of Addiction Recovery Services, Utilization Management, and Clinical Staff. 18. Attends all required meetings on a scheduled basis and effectively uses these to resolve problems, review nursing/clinical issues and to enhance the competencies of clinical staff. 19. Manage the documentation of all clinical, billable, and non-billable services into Electronic Health Records. Monitor clinical documentation to ensure compliance with state regulations, Medicaid requirements and all accreditation standards. 20. Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings. 21. Provide consultation to staff regarding complex clinical cases 22. Provide crisis intervention and clinical consultation when needed. 23.
