Position Summary The Director of Brand Management will serve as the strategist and guardian for the overall branding - brand direction, creative, messaging, and media across Five Star Franchising’s portfolio. This classically trained brand leader—ideally from a CPG or top-tier agency background—combines brand strategy, creative execution, consumer insight, and media planning to drive growth and brand equity. Reporting to the SVP of Marketing, this role will not begin with direct reports but will work cross-functionally with brand teams, marketing directors, agencies, franchisees, and Presidents to ensure brand consistency, sharpen positioning, and translate insights into business results. Key Responsibilities Brand Leadership & Strategy Define and drive brand positioning, architecture, and voice across multiple brands. Lead brand planning with clear objectives, strategies, and KPIs. Advocate for consumer-first strategy, leveraging data and insights to guide decisions. Creative, Media & Agency Management Lead creative development across TV, OTT, digital, and social campaigns. Manage relationships with media, digital, and creative agencies; ensure alignment to brand vision and performance goals. Oversee paid media strategy, creative briefing, testing, and optimization. Consumer Insights & Analytics Own the consumer portrait; mine data to guide creative, messaging, and media planning. Translate insights into actionable strategies that improve marketing effectiveness. Monitor ROI, campaign performance, and media efficiency. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Execution Partner with internal teams and franchisees to align marketing activity with growth goals. Establish KPI dashboards and reporting to track marketing and brand health. Ensure execution excellence and measurable impact across all initiatives. Qualifications 5+ years in brand management, ideally from top tier CPG or agency environments. Strong foundation in brand strategy, creative development, and media planning. Proven success managing agencies and leading cross-functional projects. Analytical, insight-driven, and skilled in storytelling and executive influence. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field; MBA preferred. Franchise, multi-brand, or performance-marketing experience a plus. Why Join Five Star Franchising?
