Description
Description About Us: PremierFBO is a leading provider of Fixed Base Operations (FBO) services, dedicated to delivering exceptional care to customers at every location. As part of our strategic growth, PremierFBO is actively expanding its network of FBOs, with a particular focus on acquiring and developing key sites throughout the Midwest and Eastern United States. This targeted growth strengthens our organization and enhances our ability to serve the aviation community. We ensure clients receive the highest levels of service and safety, investing in facility upgrades and state-of-the-art equipment to boost our physical presence and operational capabilities at each location. Our team is committed to operational excellence, superior client relations, and rigorous safety compliance, always striving to exceed expectations and set new standards in ground support services. As the Director of Business Development – FBO Services, you will lead the strategic growth of our FBO business. Your primary focus will be on capturing new revenue by increasing fuel sales, maximizing hangar occupancy, and securing long-term based aircraft agreements. Equally important, you will drive cross-sell opportunities of our MRO and Charter services into FBO-based clients and transient traffic. You will work closely with the Director of FBO Operations, local FBO General Managers, and the marketing team to develop and execute business development initiatives across our locations. You will serve as a key ambassador for Premier in the aviation community, building relationships with fleet operators, corporate flight departments, aircraft owners/operators, airport authorities, and brokers. Responsibilities: Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy for the FBO network, targeting both based and transient aircraft clients. Identify and pursue new fuel sales opportunities (volume uplift, contract fuel programs, premium fuel services) and long-term hangar lease agreements at each FBO location. Cultivate, manage, and expand relationships with key corporate aviation clients, fractional/charter operators (e.g., NetJets, Wheels Up, Flexjet), high-net-worth aircraft owners, and brokers. Lead efforts to introduce and upsell Premier’s MRO and Charter services to FBO clients—creating integrated service packages and value propositions that differentiate our offering. Collaborate with FBO General Managers and operations teams to ensure service capability aligns with sales promises, and that client commitments are supported with operational readiness. Work with the marketing team to develop targeted outreach campaigns, sales materials, and promotional programs to raise awareness of Premier’s FBO network and service advantages. Monitor regional market dynamics, competitor FBOs, fuel and hangar pricing trends, and evolving client needs; adjust sales strategies accordingly. Establish, track, and report on key business metrics (KPIs) including fuel volume sold (gallons), hangar occupancy percentage, new based aircraft secured, cross-sell revenue from MRO/Charter, and overall business growth. Negotiate and finalize proposals, contracts, and service agreements—ensuring terms are aligned with Premier Private Jets’ financial and operational objectives. Attend relevant aviation industry events, trade shows, airport open houses, and client-facing networking opportunities to represent Premier and build brand recognition. Mentor and collaborate with business development staff or sales representatives (MRO, Charter Sales) and provide leadership in sales process best practices. Requirements Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Aviation Management, Marketing or a related field preferred; advanced degree a plus. Minimum of 7–10 years of business development or sales leadership experience in the aviation industry (FBO sales, fuel sales, hangar leasing, corporate aviation sales, or MRO/Charter services). Proven track record of achieving significant revenue growth in aviation services, with demonstrated success in closing large-ticket accounts and securing long-term client commitments. Deep understanding of the general aviation ecosystem—including FBO operations, fuel supply/fuel programs, hangar leasing economics, and the needs of aircraft owners/operators. Strong relationships and network within the business aviation community (flight departments, fractional operators, brokers, airports) is highly desirable. Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills; able to engage with executives, owners, flight department leadership, and airport stakeholders. Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills—able to interpret market data, identify opportunities, and adjust tactics accordingly. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment that demands customer-centric service, high responsiveness, and travel across multiple sites (travel up to ~50%). Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, PipeDrive) and sales metrics reporting; strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for business modelling and presentations. Proficiency with FBO Software/Systems: X1FBO, Flightaware, etc. A hands-on, results-oriented mindset with a commitment to operational excellence, teamwork, and upholding the highest standards of safety and service. Benefits: Medical, dental, vison, and life Insurance Supplemental life insurance Short-term and long-term disability 401k with Company Match PTO and company paid sick days Company paid holidays
