Description The Director of Business Development is responsible for identifying, shaping, and executing high-impact growth opportunities that expand Krispy Krunchy Chicken’s market presence and revenue base. This role drives strategic partnerships, accelerates new customer acquisition, and unlocks value within existing accounts through a data-driven and customer-centric approach. This leader will define and execute national and regional business development strategies, engage senior decision-makers across key accounts, and influence cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, profitable growth. The Director serves as a key ambassador of the Krispy Krunchy value proposition, bringing industry insights, strategic vision, and executional excellence to the organization. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies aligned with company growth objectives. Identify emerging market trends, white space opportunities, and new channels for expansion. Own and deliver against revenue and volume targets tied to new and existing business. Lead enterprise-level prospecting efforts to secure new accounts. Design and deliver compelling, insight-led sales strategies that differentiate Krispy Krunchy in the marketplace. Build scalable pipelines and drive consistent conversion of high-value opportunities. Establish and maintain executive-level relationships with key customers, partners, and industry stakeholders. Act as a trusted advisor, providing thought leadership on category dynamics, consumer behavior, and operational execution. Negotiate complex agreements and long-term partnerships that drive mutual value. Oversee development and execution of joint business plans to grow existing accounts. Leverage analytics to assess performance, identify gaps, and implement strategies that improve outcomes. Ensure profitable expansion through disciplined pricing, mix, and operational alignment. Partner with marketing, operations, finance, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless execution of growth initiatives. Influence internal stakeholders and align resources to support strategic priorities. Contribute to broader commercial strategy and organizational planning. Utilize tools such as Excel, Power BI, and CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce) to generate actionable insights. Establish KPIs and reporting frameworks to monitor performance and inform strategic decisions. Requirements Experience: 7+ years of progressive experience in business development, sales, or key account management within consumer goods, foodservice, or direct store delivery industries. Proven success in acquiring and scaling large, multi-unit or chain accounts. Demonstrated ability to lead complex sales cycles and negotiate high-value agreements. Experience influencing cross-functional teams and driving strategic initiatives. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field required. MBA preferred. Technical Skills Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Strong working knowledge of Power BI, Salesforce, or similar CRM/analytics platforms. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and digital collaboration tools. Leadership Competencies: Executive presence with exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
