We are seeking a high-performing, strategic, and hands-on Director of Business Development to lead TechConnects sales and drive sustainable growth.
The ideal candidate will bring deep telecommunications industry experience, with a proven record of success built from the ground up—having progressed from field-level or operational roles into sales leadership through performance, accountability, and the ability to inspire others.
This individual must be a relationship-first leader who understands that trust and performance are the foundation of long-term success. They should bring a hunter mentality, a builder’s mindset, and a passion for cultivating and scaling high-impact teams.
Develop and execute a sales and business development strategy aligned with TechConnect’s growth objectives.Lead and mentor the sales team, instilling a performance-driven culture built on mutual trust, transparency, and accountability.
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key telecom clients, partners, and vendors. Identify new market opportunities and strategic partnerships to expand TechConnect’s footprint in Canada.
Collaborate with executive leadership to align product offerings with market needs and customer demands.
Build sales processes, metrics, and forecasts that provide visibility and predictability for the organization.
Represent TechConnect at industry events, conferences, and executive meetings to elevate brand presence and thought leadership.
Qualifications:10+ years of progressive experience in the telecommunications industry, with exposure to multiple functional roles (e.g., operations, field service, account management, channel sales, business development).
Minimum 5 years in a senior sales leadership or executive-level role.Proven track record of building and scaling high-performing sales teams.
Deep understanding of telecom infrastructure, services, and value propositions. Strong executive presence with exceptional communication and negotiation skills. Ability to foster and maintain long-term, trust-based relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
