Description

Rock River / Fort Atkinson Nursing & Rehab is looking for a Director of Business Development. The Director of Business Development is responsible for planning, developing, and implementing strategic marketing and referral development initiatives to drive census growth and maintain strong relationships with referral sources. This role will focus on increasing admissions, enhancing community visibility, and supporting the overall success of the skilled nursing facility.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field (preferred).
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in healthcare marketing, sales, or business development (SNF/long-term care experience strongly preferred).
  • Established network of referral sources in the healthcare community (preferred).
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required for community outreach.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to travel locally for meetings, hospital visits, and community events.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and walking.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and manage business development and marketing strategies to achieve facility census and revenue goals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with hospitals, physicians, case managers, discharge planners, and other referral sources.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify opportunities, trends, competitors, and potential referral sources.
  • Represent the facility at community events, health fairs, professional meetings, and networking opportunities to promote services.
  • Coordinate facility tours for prospective residents, families, and referral partners.
  • Collaborate with the admissions and clinical teams to ensure smooth transitions and a positive experience for residents and families.
  • Track, analyze, and report on referral and admission data to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Train and support staff in customer service and referral management best practices.
  • Work closely with the Administrator and leadership team to align business development efforts with facility goals.
  • Ensure marketing materials, digital presence, and branding accurately represent the facility and services provided.
