The Director of Business Systems is responsible for architecting, optimizing, and governing Big Top’s enterprise technology ecosystem. This leader oversees ERP, CRM, manufacturing, and financial systems, ensuring they support scalable growth, operational excellence, and data-driven decision making across the organization. This position reports to the CFO. FLSA Classification: Exempt Location: Remote Requirements Systems Strategy & Roadmap § Develop and maintain a multi-year roadmap for ERP, CRM, Engineering, and enterprise systems. § Align technology strategy with company goals and operational scalability. § Build out CPQ system to integrate fully with ERP and CRM § Identify opportunities to streamline processes and reduce manual work. ERP Implementation & Governance § Serve as project owner for ERP deployment including vendor management and risk governance. § Establish a center-of-excellence model for process design, testing, and data governance. § Lead continuous improvement cycles post–go-live. Business Process Optimization § Map and standardize end-to-end workflows across key departments. § Implement controls, approval frameworks, and automation. § Partner with leaders to eliminate bottlenecks and improve throughput using business systems. Systems Administration & Integration § Manage configuration, permissions, and data integrity across platforms. § Lead integration strategies between ERP, CRM, engineering, and reporting systems. § Establish change management and testing protocols. Data & Reporting § Partner with Finance on real-time KPI visibility and analytics. § Implement dashboards and reporting structures. § Own master data management policies. Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration § Serve as liaison between technical vendors and business users. § Lead training and communication for system initiatives. Risk Management & Controls § Mitigate system risks including data loss and security issues. § Help to ensure compliance with internal controls and audit expectations working with internal and external teams. Required Skills & Abilities: § Hands-on ERP / CPQ implementation experience in manufacturing. § Understanding of manufacturing workflows, supply chain, finance, and inventory management. § Strong communication and project management skills. Education & Experience: § Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Engineering, Finance, or related field. § 7+ years experience in business systems, ERP leadership, or process improvement. Physical Demands: § Must be able to accurately exchange information with customers, co-workers, management, and vendors. § Occasionally moves files and boxes of records weighing up to 20 lbs. § Constantly operates a computer and other office machinery, such as copiers, printers, and telephones. § Must be able to remain in a stationary position for 90% of the time.
