Responsibilities Strategic Leadership Develop and implement a comprehensive career services strategy aligned with institutional goals. Lead and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a culture of innovation, service, and student success. Monitor labor-market trends to ensure programs remain relevant and future-focused. Career Development Programs Oversee career coaching, workshops, resume/portfolio support, interview preparation, and job-search strategies. Create scalable programming that supports students from enrollment to post‑graduation success. Ensure accessible, inclusive career services for all learners. Employer & Community Engagement Build and maintain strong relationships with employers, alumni, and industry partners. Expand internship, apprenticeship, and employment opportunities. Organize recruiting events, networking activities, career fairs, and employer showcases. Operations & Outcomes Oversee data tracking, reporting, and analytics to evaluate student outcomes. Collaborate with academic and administrative leaders to integrate career readiness across the student experience. Manage departmental budgets, systems, and technology platforms. Qualifications Required Bachelor’s degree in Career Development, Education, Business, Human Resources, or a related field. 5+ years of progressive experience in career services, talent acquisition, workforce development, or a related area. Demonstrated success leading teams and building employer partnerships. Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills. Preferred Master’s degree. Experience in higher education or career‑readiness programming. Knowledge of career development theories, assessment tools, and student support strategies.
