SUMMARY

The Director is responsible for leading the educational department(s) to include: planning, organizing, directing, and managing resources for a designated School. Responsibilities include: projecting and maintaining an operational budget; efficient /effective resource utilization; recruitment and effective/efficient management of assigned faculty and staff; achieving quality outcomes; performance improvement; monitoring of quality and quantity of services; maintaining positive working relationships with faculty, staff, and BHS hospital departments; compliance with all accreditation essentials and guidelines. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM EDUCATION: Credentials to meet qualifications as directed by accrediting and licensing organizations. Masters Degree in discipline, education, or related field.
PREFERRED EDUCATION: PhD, EdD, or earned doctorate in related field
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 5 years teaching experience in disciplines with responsibilities in education, management, curriculum design, evaluation, and faculty development. Competence in clinical practice area.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Previous management experience in a healthcare setting or leadership in an academic environment
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Possession of current Texas State Registration/License. Credentialed by State and National Agencies Meets all programmatic accreditation requirements.
