If you believe: Leadership is about responsibility, not time blocks Excellence must be modeled, not mandated The best clinical leaders continue to grow and still treat patients This role was built for you. CJ Physical Therapy & Pilates is recruiting a Director of Clinical Excellence – a lead clinician who continues treating patients while elevating clinical reasoning, education, and outcomes across the practice. Your contributions will directly impact patients’ lives and their transformations in ways that extend far beyond what you could ever do alone. This Is Not a Desk Role This is not an administrative director position. This is a lead-from-the-front clinical leadership role. You will: Maintain an active clinical caseload and lead from the treatment room Work through complex cases and coach clinicians through advanced clinical decision-making Teach, mentor, and raise the bar for care delivery Own clinical standards and outcomes while leading by example How you balance these responsibilities evolves as the practice evolves. What matters is results, not rigid ratios. This is an opportunity to step into meaningful authority within a growing practice that values clinical judgment, leadership input, and thoughtful decision-making – and that is eager to hear your ideas and support you in implementing them. Why This Role Is Different Clinical Excellence Is the Job Your primary responsibility is to ensure exceptional, consistent care across the clinic – through your own treatment, your teaching, and your leadership. You will not be buried in billing, insurance, or front-desk fires. Your focus stays where it belongs: patients, clinicians, and outcomes. Mentorship Over Micromanagement You will be personally mentored by the Founder & CEO and given a 12–18 month runway to grow into full Director-level authority and influence. This role is designed for a clinician who wants depth, mastery, and long-term impact, and who can navigate some growth-phase complexity while helping build what comes next. Leadership Earned Through Credibility You don’t lead from a clipboard. You lead from the treatment room. What You’ll Be Responsible For Delivering high-level 1:1 patient care in a cash-based model Serving as the clinical standard-bearer for the practice Leading clinical education, case reviews, and 1:1 mentorship meetings Partnering with our Operations Manager to guide onboarding and clinician development Building and refining clinical SOPs and standards Collaborating closely with the CEO to align clinical excellence with growth Who This Role Is For Experienced outpatient PT with strong clinical reasoning and diagnostic skills (MDT training is a strong plus) Natural teacher and mentor Comfortable with accountability and ownership Values systems, standards, and clarity Open to mastering the MDT framework and teaching it to others Who This Role Is NOT For This role is not for someone who: Wants a clock-in, clock-out job Needs rigid role boundaries to feel safe Wants leadership without responsibility Avoids feedback or high standards Wants to stop treating patients We are building a high-trust, high-expectation culture.
