DIRECTOR OF CLINICAL SERVICES

Salary: Up to £50k per year

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Registered Nurse (Mental Health) or equivalent with valid NMC registration.
• Significant experience in a senior clinical leadership role within mental health services.
• Proven track record in clinical governance and quality assurance.
• Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, including CQC standards.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Director of Clinical Services holds a pivotal leadership position, responsible for the strategic and operational management of clinical services. The Director of Clinical Services ensures the delivery of high-quality, safe, and effective care, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and clinical excellence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement clinical strategies aligned with the hospital’s mission and regulatory requirements.
• Clinical Governance: Oversee clinical governance frameworks to ensure compliance with CQC standards and promote best practices.
• Operational Management: Manage day-to-day clinical operations, ensuring efficient resource utilization and service delivery.
• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and support clinical teams, promoting professional development and high-performance standards.
• Quality Improvement: Initiate and monitor quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and service effectiveness.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including patients, families, and healthcare partners, to ensure integrated care pathways.
• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate clinical risks, ensuring robust incident reporting and learning systems are in place.
• Budget Oversight: Manage clinical budgets, ensuring financial sustainability while maintaining high-quality care standards.
