Your part in our Buderim Hospital team Accountable for the strategic and operational management of Clinical Services, you’ll provide leadership to Nursing, Allied Health Services and Quality Support Teams, ensuring high standards of patient care, appropriate risk management and appropriate resource utilisation across an integrated continuum of care from pre-admission to post discharge from St Stephen’s. You’ll promote improvement in performance and better outcomes for patients through evidence-based care, through the monitoring and reporting of clinical and material KPI’s. Collaborating closely with the hospital’s executive leadership team, you will Work in conjunction with the General Manager and the Director of Finance and Support Services to optimise customer service, financial efficiencies and care delivery Actively network in industry to promote growth, identify clinical areas for expansion and represent the hospital at external clinical forums. Play an active role in the management of OHS and Quality initiatives to ensure a safe work environment, injury prevention and the achievement of accreditation. Deputise into the General Manager role as required as well as overseeing responsibility services as directed by the GM Available for on call and to attend after hours meeetings What makes a difference for us? As an accomplished clinical leader, you will present with significant recent senior leadership experience within a public or private acute environment of a comparable size and clinical complexity. Your experience has equipped you with an aptitude for people leadership, and exceptional interpersonal skills to confidently navigate challenging clinical and behavioural scenarios through to optimal outcomes. Ideally, you have previously managed significant organisational and cultural change within a large health service, with a proven record of improving patient care and reducing clinical risk hospital-wide. You’ll demonstrate skills and experience including: At least 3-5+ years recent experience at Director of Clinical Services level (private hospital experience preferred) Bachelor of Nursing Degree or equivalent, with post-graduate qualifications (desirable) Current AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse Proven track record in setting strategy with appropriate governance, planning budgets and meeting budget and all other relevant KPI’s Preparation of annual budgets, capital expenditure requests and annual strategic/business plan Extensive knowledge and understanding of Human Resources practices, Industrial Agreements, Workplace Health and Safety practices and Continuous Quality Improvement principles Willingness to obtain required vaccinations in line with hospitals infection control requirements, as well as undergo national criminal history check and functional assessment What makes a difference for you?
