The City of Camarillo is seeking a Director of Community Development who will serve in a prominent external, public-facing role engaging the entire community, encouraging sound planning, promoting economic development, fostering community connections and guiding development/land use matters. The ideal candidate will also have a proven track record for leading through change and foster a high-performance, inclusive culture. Typical background and experience includes a Bachelor’s degree with major course work in urban or regional planning, public administration, business administration, or related field; and 10 years of experience in urban planning, community development, or related experience including 3 years of management and administrative responsibility. The City offers a competitive salary of $178,235 - $267,380 based on experience and qualifications, plus a competitive benefit health and retirement package.
