POSITION SUMMARY

The Director of Community Engagement plays a critical role in advancing the mission of the nonprofit by fostering meaningful relationships with community members, partners, and stakeholders. This position leads strategic outreach efforts, builds collaborative partnerships, and ensures the organization remains responsive to the needs and voices of the communities it serves.
REPORTING: Reports to Chief Strategy Officer/ Executive Director

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Public Administration, Communications, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in community engagement, nonprofit leadership, or public affairs.
• Demonstrated success in building partnerships and leading community initiatives.
• Deep understanding of communities and populations served
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and facilitation skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

PREFERRED SKILLS

• Experience working with diverse and underserved populations.
• Grant writing and fundraising experience.
• Familiarity with nonprofit CRM systems and engagement platforms.
