Position Summary The Director of Compliance will serve as the organization's lead authority for regulatory compliance, risk management, carrier oversight, and corporate policy governance. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive compliance programs that ensure adherence to all applicable federal, state, customer, and company requirements while safeguarding the organization from operational, financial, legal, and reputational risk. Key Responsibilities * Lead and oversee all aspects of the company's compliance and risk management functions. * Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and controls that support regulatory compliance and operational excellence. * Manage carrier qualification, onboarding, monitoring, and ongoing compliance programs to ensure carrier partners meet company and regulatory standards. * Direct all claims management, incident response, and risk mitigation activities, including day-to-day administration and resolution processes. * Establish and lead fraud prevention initiatives designed to protect the company, its customers, and carrier partners. * Conduct internal audits and compliance reviews to identify risks, ensure adherence to policies, and drive corrective actions where necessary. * Monitor changes in transportation regulations, industry standards, customer requirements, and legal developments, implementing procedural updates as needed. * Provide strategic guidance and recommendations to executive leadership on compliance, risk, and governance matters. * Develop and deliver employee training programs to promote compliance awareness, accountability, and adherence to company policies. * Partner closely with Operations, Carrier Sales, and Executive Leadership to establish measurable compliance standards, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the organization. * Maintain oversight of carrier network health, quality, and capacity to support the company's growth objectives. * Develop and execute carrier recruitment, advertising, and growth campaigns to ensure consistent monthly onboarding targets are achieved and aligned with organizational needs. * Analyze carrier network performance and market trends to identify opportunities for network expansion, diversification, and strategic development. * 10-15% travel required Impact of the Role This position plays a critical role in protecting the organization's interests while supporting sustainable growth. The Director of Compliance will help ensure a strong culture of compliance, minimize risk exposure, strengthen carrier partnerships, and build a scalable carrier network capable of supporting the company's long-term strategic objectives.
