WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

indiGO Auto Group is seeking a full-time Director of Compliance & Risk Advisory to join our growing team based in Houston, reporting directly to the CFO. This role will support the indiGO executive team in establishing a strong operational and financial internal control structure and dealership level control environment to support current and future growth. THE OPPORTUNITY IS FOR YOU IF YOU HAVE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field; CPA, CIA, or CISA certification required.
  • Experience: 15+ years of progressive experience in internal audit, risk management, or compliance, preferably in the automotive, retail, or multi-unit industry.
  • Thorough understanding of industry specific laws (i.e., federal and state specific laws focused on consumer protection, fair lending practices, data privacy, workplace safety) and demonstrated commitment to ethical conduct and operational integrity.
  • Deep knowledge of internal control frameworks, risk management methodologies, and audit best practices.
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP, SOX compliance, and financial reporting standards.
  • Experience with ERP/DMS systems (e.g., HFM, Tekion, CDK, or similar dealership management systems).
  • Proven ability to build relationships with executive leadership and operational teams.
  • Strong change management and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills.
  • Adept at queries, writing reports, and making presentations.
  • Extremely organized with dedicated attention to detail.
  • A positive attitude and a clear focus on delivering work of the highest quality.
  • Domestic and international travel required.
  • Willing to submit to a drug test and criminal background check.
  • Maintain professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
