Description

COMPANY OVERVIEW

SodaPop Construction Corp. is a boutique, family-run company built on quality, integrity, and precision. We specialize in beautifully executed spaces with a focus on craftsmanship and attention to detail. From first consultation to final walkthrough, our mission is to elevate the construction experience for our clients.
We’re a small, tight-knit team — every role matters, and we all show up with sleeves rolled. There’s no middle management or corporate red tape here — just builders who take pride in doing things right. If that sounds like a feature, not a flaw, you’ll fit right in.

POSITION: DIRECTOR OF CONSTRUCTION & SITE OPERATIONS

We’re seeking a hands-on construction leader to join our small but mighty team. This is not just a clipboard-and-laptop job — it’s for someone who thrives in the action, solves problems in real time, and is just as comfortable rolling paint as reviewing permit sets.
As our Director of Construction & Site Operations, you’ll be the boots-on-the-ground lead for our projects: interpreting drawings, managing trades, staying on top of Ontario Building Code requirements, and ensuring smooth day-to-day site execution.
This role is ideal for a doer, a fixer, and a communicator — someone who is always on, ready to respond, and doesn’t flinch at a late-night call or last-minute adjustment.
You will not be responsible for procurement or full project scheduling. Estimating and back-end scheduling are handled by the Operations Officer, but you will work closely with her to refine trade schedules and ensure smooth site operations.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 7+ years of construction experience, including project/site management
  • Deep knowledge of the Ontario Building Code
  • Ability to read and interpret complex construction and design documents
  • Strong problem-solving skills and site resourcefulness
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills — respectful, calm under pressure
  • Willingness to work in a fluid, high-accountability, small-team environment
  • Valid driver’s license and own vehicle
