Description

Location: In Office + Scheduled National Travel
Reports to: President | Senior Leadership Team
A growing national construction group is hiring their first Director of Construction to lead and scale operations across multiple provinces. This is a brand-new executive role created due to sustained growth — the company has doubled in size since 2017.
The organization specializes in infrastructure and fueling-related construction for public and commercial environments. They provide full turnkey solutions, managing ground-up construction that includes tanks, mechanical systems, dispensers, and sensor installations. They were designated an essential services provider during the pandemic and remain committed to building critical infrastructure across Canada.
Responsibilities
*
Oversee national construction operations across multiple regions, with direct leadership over three regional construction leaders
*
Develop and implement construction strategies to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget
*
Collaborate closely with the President and executive team on national project planning and operational efficiency
*
Standardize training, safety, and field execution protocols (company provides in-house training)
*
Regularly travel across the country to oversee projects and support site teams
Ideal Background
*
10+ years of experience in industrial or commercial construction, ideally in nationally scaled environments
*
Proven track record of leading multi-site construction teams and overseeing large-scale projects
*
Experience in fuel systems, utilities, or infrastructure builds is a strong asset but not required
*
Skilled in building scalable processes, mentoring site leaders, and driving operational excellence
*
Open to a high-travel role with national site responsibilities (travel is well-coordinated and planned in advance)
Compensation
*
Base salary: $95,000 – $165,000 depending on experience
*
Bonus: Up to 20% annually
*
Work model: In-office with structured national travel
*
Long-term opportunity with a privately held, high-growth construction firm

️ PREFERRED EXPERIENCE INCLUDES:

Candidates coming from national or regional construction firms focused on fueling stations, municipal infrastructure, or specialty commercial projects are ideal. We’re especially interested in those with experience in companies that deliver design-build or EPC-style construction in essential industries.
