POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for coordinating, planning, and leading a team of Application Administrators. The Manager of applications assists in the determination of technology needs or the organization through the development and communication of Application Roadmaps. They are responsible for the implementation of systems to fulfill the organization’s systemic requirements and needs.

MINIMUM EDUCATION:

Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience

PREFERRED EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:

5+ years of experience working in IT Operations. Exceptional knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware/software systems. Excellent working knowledge of computer systems and system administration.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

7+ years of experience working in IT Operations. Experience leading and managing large IT projects and rollouts across various technologies.

SOFT SKILLS:

  • Proven work experience as an IT Manager or relevant experience.
  • Ability to manage and teach others
  • Ability to explain highly technical concepts in simple terms.
  • Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
  • Strong ability to prioritize
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Travel: Ability to travel independently 5-10%. (Car is not provided)
Hours & Conditions: Monday – Friday 8-hour day in an onsite office setting
Physical Requirements: Ability to maneuver and regularly lift and or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities
  1. Monitor performance of IT systems to determine cost and productivity levels, and make recommendations for improvements that increase sustainability, resilience, and efficiency.
  2. Support production systems that run 24/7.
  3. Assist in the design of organizational IT strategy in close collaboration with business teams including executive management.
  4. Manage the development, documentation, and implementation of new processes.
  5. Analyze business requirements by partnering with other business unites across the organization to develop solutions for IT needs and requests.
  6. Assess and Partner with vendors to develop strategies for new hardware and software being introduced to the organization.
  7. Manage IT staff of Application Admins through coaching team members, communicating job expectations and appraising their performance.
  8. Design, develop, implement, and coordinate systems, policies, and procedures
  9. Implement company-wide technology updates
  10. Develop a results driven team that meets deliverable timing and business expectations.
