Job Description: As part of our focus on growth, process integration and service, we are now seeking a Director of Customs and Trade Compliance to build and grow our present structure of the company in the US. The primary responsibilities of this position would be to: Oversee the team of Customs Brokers and Entry Writers at Point US Compliance and regulatory matters Optimizing processes to increase efficiency & maximize performance Consistently delivering superior service to internal and external clients Fostering innovation, continuous improvement & operation excellence Developing strict controls and ensuring robust regulatory and bid compliance Forging win-win strategi alliances & building mutually profitable partnerships Possesses extensive knowledge of the changing market and how to utilize technology to optimize business opportunities Requirements 15 years of experience in a similar role Familiar with US Customs, regulations and compliance, air, ocean and land methods of transportation US Customs Broker license holder Detailed and Organized Proficient at MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point) Very familiar with industry software such as Magaya or Cargowise Availability to travel once or twice per month Fast learner – able to grasp concepts outside area of expertise Personal Traits: Point Global Logistics is an aggressive and independent company operating under its founding principles of integrity and service application.
