Description Fairway Lawns, a leading provider of residential exterior home services and a Morgan Stanley Capital Partners portfolio company, is seeking an experienced Director of Data & Analytics to join our growing team. We deliver essential services like weed control and fertilization, alongside complementary offerings such as irrigation, pest control, and tree and shrub maintenance. As we build towards to $1B in revenue through both organic and acquisitional growth, this role will be instrumental in building and leading a modern data platform that enables data-driven decision-making across the enterprise. Description of the Role The Director of Data & Analytics is responsible for developing and executing the enterprise data strategy, ensuring timely, accurate, secure, and actionable data to support business growth. This role oversees data engineering, business intelligence, and data governance functions to deliver reporting and insights across branch operations, finance, marketing, and executive leadership. As data maturity grows, the Director will also lead advanced analytics and AI/ML initiatives to drive innovation and efficiency. Responsibilities Build and manage enterprise data architecture, including data warehousing, integration, and master data management. Lead and develop the Data Engineering organization, providing direct people management, coaching, and accountability for delivery, quality, and operational excellence across enterprise data platforms and pipelines. Serve as the enterprise data and analytics leader, partnering with and influencing embedded data and business analysts and across business functions to set standards, align priorities, and drive a cohesive analytics strategy in matrix organization. Own and manage strategic relationships with data platform providers, acting as the central liaison to ensure data availability, integration integrity, contract alignment, and adherence to enterprise standards and architecture principles. Partner with Fairway Business Systems teams on data initiatives with SaaS partners. Oversee reporting and dashboard development for branch operations and corporate KPIs. Establish and enforce data governance and quality standards across the organization. Drive AI/ML pilot initiatives as organizational maturity increases. Partner with business leaders to ensure data solutions align with strategic objectives. Maintain compliance with data security and privacy regulations. Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in data and analytics. Key Skills Required Expertise in data architecture, data warehousing, and integration strategies. Strong leadership and team management skills across data engineering, BI, and governance. Proficiency in modern data platforms (Snowflake, Matillion, AWS, Azure, or GCP). Advanced knowledge of SQL, ETL processes, and data modeling. Strong capabilities with Tableau, other BI tools, and dashboard development. Understanding of data governance, master data management, and compliance. Ability to lead AI/ML initiatives and advanced analytics. Strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Years of Experience Required Minimum: 5+ years in data management, analytics, or related fields. Preferred: 3+ years in leadership roles managing enterprise data platforms and cross-functional teams. Education Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or related field required. Certifications and Accreditations preferred Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) – preferred. Relevant Platform Certifications such as Snowflake, AWS. ITIL Foundation for process alignment. Certifications in BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) or AI/ML frameworks.
