Description

Be the driving force behind impact at the YMCA!
Are you a natural storyteller who knows how to turn passion into action? Do you thrive on building relationships, connecting people to a cause, and creating long-term sustainability through fundraising? If so, we’d love to meet you!
The Director of Development at the YMCA is more than a fundraiser—it’s a mission-driven leader who helps shape the future of our community. In partnership with our CEO, you’ll set bold goals, craft strategies, and lead efforts that secure the resources needed to fuel life-changing programs for youth, families, and individuals across our community.
From cultivating donors and writing winning grants, to developing exciting campaigns and strengthening partnerships, you’ll be at the heart of advancing the Y’s cause and ensuring a brighter tomorrow.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead the charge in designing and executing fundraising strategies—from annual campaigns to major gifts, grants, sponsorships, and special events.
  • Build meaningful relationships with donors, funders, and community partners.
  • Write, research, and manage impactful grants that keep programs thriving.
  • Be a key voice for the YMCA—sharing our story, advancing our mission, and championing our work in the community.
  • Partner closely with staff and volunteers to meet and exceed fundraising goals that directly change lives.

What You Bring:

  • A background in development, fundraising, grant writing, or related fields (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
  • Proven success with fundraising strategies (annual campaigns, major gifts, grants, events, etc.).
  • Excellent storytelling, writing, and public speaking skills.
  • Strong organizational skills—you can juggle multiple projects without missing a beat.
  • A collaborative spirit and a heart for community impact.

Why You’ll Love It Here:
At the Y, we don’t just talk about community—we live it. We offer a supportive, mission-driven work environment where your efforts truly matter. And we take care of our people with a benefits package designed for balance, growth, and well-being:
Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance
9% employer-funded retirement plan (yes, 9%!)
Paid time off, holidays, and extended illness benefits
Free YMCA membership + program discounts
Professional development opportunities
Life insurance and additional voluntary coverage options
This is your chance to combine your skills with your passion for making a difference. Join us and help ensure the YMCA continues to be a beacon of hope, health, and community for generations to come.
