JOB SUMMARY: The Director of Development leads Goodwill’s fundraising engine, establishing a healthy donor pipeline, shaping intelligent audience segmentation, managing the grants process, and owning the organization’s fundraising calendar and signature events. This role supervises the Development Coordinator and works cross-functionally to keep cultivation, stewardship, and communications aligned and moving.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Non-profit Management/Development, Public Relations or closely related field required. An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may substitute for a degree.
- Progressive nonprofit development experience with strengths in prospecting, segmentation, grants coordination, events and sponsorships/in-kind.
- Proficiency with fundraising CRM systems, list management, and basic reporting/analytics’ strong writing and presentation skills.
- CFRE, Fundraising/Grant Writing certificate, or similar professional credential preferred.
- Valid Oklahoma Driver’s License and Car Insurance verification, required.
- Must maintain a good driving record and pass MVR check.
- Must pass background, OSBI checks and drug screening.

- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- The ability to speak comfortably in a public and/or private setting to engage donors.
- Maintain a professional demeanor in all interactions.
- Excellent interpersonal and networking skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships and work cooperatively with individuals of varying personalities.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to toggle between strategy and hands-on execution.
- Excellent time management with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Data curious, deadline-driven, and comfortable coordinating across teams.
- Strong computer proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM software.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
This work requires the following physical activities:
- Sitting for periods of time; occasional bending, squatting, kneeling, stooping; good finger dexterity with repetitive motions; talking, hearing and visual acuity.
- Ability to lift 15 pounds at times without or with assistance.
- Occasional periods of frequent walking and standing.
