Job Details Job Location: Dallas, TX 75235 Position Type: Full Time Education Level: 4 Year Degree Job Shift: Day Job Category: Marketing The Director of Development, Individual Giving, will be responsible for individual donor and prospect cultivation, stewarding and securing major gifts and creating and managing donor cultivation events. This is a full-time, in-office role located in Dallas. RESPONSIBILITIES Develop and manage an individual giving program for all donor levels, with a focus on growing major gifts of $10K or higher. Create strategies, prospect and cultivate relationships with current and new donors. Work with Chief Advancement Officer on fundraising strategy development, solicitation support, meeting prep and relationship cultivation. Work with stewardship officer to ensure timely tax receipts and creative communication plans throughout the year. Build out and manage Young Partners, a junior board of The Family Place. Create and implement an annual fundraising plan and track all goals with regular reporting and evaluation of progress. Propose and implement annual appeal campaigns. Support team use of moves management and other stewardship tools effectively, and ensure that donor information is accurate and up to date. Collaborate across other agency teams and work closely with senior staff for cultivation and prospecting. Collaborate with the Chief Advancement Officer on all department deliverables. Support the Executive Director as necessary. Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS 7 years+ of successful fundraising experience in building and growing individual giving portfolios and in planning and implementing special events. Excellent relationship-building skills, interest in stewarding individual donors to build meaningful and lasting connections and strong understanding of donor protocol. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Experience working directly with senior leadership teams, Boards and other key stakeholders. Knowledge of fundraising trends and best practices. Ability to self-manage, working independently and as part of a team. Strong CRM skills (Raiser’s Edge preferred) and experience with donor databases. Knowledge of the Dallas philanthropic community is preferred. Passion for our mission!
