POSITION SUMMARY:

Thanksgiving Point is seeking a strategic and results-oriented Director of Development to design, implement, and grow a comprehensive annual giving program. This role will lead all annual appeals, direct mail, and donor acquisition campaigns, with a strong focus on expanding the Curiosity Club membership base and relaunching a pipeline of grassroot support. The Director will actively manage a portfolio of 100–150 donors and prospects giving up to $100,000, cultivating relationships that drive sustained and increased giving.
The successful candidate will bring a proven ability to balance analytics with donor engagement, developing strong relationships across a variety of corporations, foundations, and individuals, thrive in a collaborative team setting, and excel in a structured on-site work environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, nonprofit management, or related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive fundraising or annual giving experience with a demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding revenue goals.
  • Strong proficiency in data analytics, campaign tracking, and CRM database management-Tessitura experience a strong plus
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage a diverse portfolio of donors.
  • Highly organized, goal-driven, and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • This is an in-office role with key in-person development responsibilities.
  • Physical requirements include working outdoors during events, standing and sitting for long periods of time, ability to manipulate small objects, and travel.
  • Must pass a background check.

  • Track and analyze campaign performance, applying data-driven insights to improve results and ROI.
  • Leverage CRM and fundraising database tools to manage donor pipelines, reporting, and segmentation strategies.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure annual giving campaigns align with institutional priorities and development goals.
  • Contribute to forecasting, goal setting, and benchmarking within the broader development strategy.
  • Other duties as assigned.
