OVERVIEW

We’re partnering with a fast-growing healthcare-focused digital group that operates like an internal agency within a well-established print and editorial company. They’re looking for a Sr. Director of Digital Program Management to help lead the transition from ad hoc campaign execution to a structured, scalable PMO. This is a hands-on leadership role that blends digital, media, and software project management in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Establish the PMO and build out scalable, repeatable project delivery frameworks
  • Oversee a mix of digital campaigns, CMS platform projects, and software development initiatives
  • Manage and mentor a small team of 4–5 program/project managers over time
  • Drive adoption of tools like Jira, Asana, and Monday.com
  • Collaborate across product, engineering, delivery, creative, and account teams
  • Work on both internal builds and vendor-managed tech integrations (you’ll need to speak both languages)
  • Help shift operations from reactive “ticket execution” to proactive product development
  • Champion self-service campaign tools that reduce tech dependency and free up dev resources

Who You Are

  • 10+ years in digital or technical project/program management, with 3+ years in leadership
  • Agency-side experience is critical (e.g., Ogilvy, Digitas, Saatchi, or similar)
  • Must have experience running both digital production and technical platform projects
  • Proven ability to build out PMO practices and establish scalable delivery models
  • Skilled in balancing multiple priorities across partially allocated teams
  • Strong communicator who builds trust, not silos
  • Comfortable working across engineering, media, content, and client services
  • Confident but collaborative — not a command-and-control operator
  • Experience in healthcare/pharma is a plus, but not required
  • PMP, CSM, or similar certifications are preferred

Why This Role Stands Out

  • This is not a back-office IT role — it’s front-line, cross-functional, and embedded in a mission-driven business
  • You’ll shape the program delivery model that supports national digital campaigns
  • You’ll work closely with leadership and play a direct role in how the company scales its tech and content operations
  • It’s a true hybrid role — blending media, digital production, software builds, and vendor coordination
