Job Description We are looking for an engineering director to lead the ECU Mechanical Engineering Department (Products: VM Braking, OSS, Steering ECU, Truck company low voltage ECUs, eCompressor, 2WP DCU etc.) This role will lead the engineering team to develop competitive and reliable ECUs, focusing on mechanical solution, from concept phase to series together with GBs and other stakeholders (Manufacturing, purchasing etc.) Business development: Derive the organization vision and goals in line with GB strategy target and ME internal upper level strategy, turn into actionable strategies with team Lead the team to workout the mechanical solution roadmap incl. architecture, technical roadmap etc. for current and future core business Lead by contents, ensure the team to deliver competitive mechanical solution based on business target fulfilling DfR, DfC, DfM requirements; ensure the engineering deliverables with value to CGBs Engineering Excellence: Ensure engineering quality, robustness and compliance with automotive standards and internal processes (e.g. DRBFM, DFMEA, DFMA) Establish or tailor the development processes to deliver the results in a more efficient way Retain the competence and upskills to ensure USP of the engineering team Continuously develop digital solution in the engineering area Organizational development: Shape the organization, foster the high performing culture, set up the guardrail for business growth Talent development: select the right person, put them at right position and develop accordingly, linked with business development Stakeholder management: Externally: close collaboration with GB to understand business strategic target and contribute to their success with our value With global: fully utilize the global resources, establish duo-pole team Internally: Leads across functions (e.g., with manufacturing, purchasing, etc.) without direct authority and influence Qualifications Education:Master’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline Working Experience:10+ years of experience in automotive product development, including leadership roles Knowledge/Skills: Proven track record in leading medium to large engineering teams in a complex/matrix environment Solid understanding of automotive electronic product development processes and quality standards Strategy thinking, with business acumen.
