Description
  The Merchant Building is a transformational project that rises 32 stories into the Downtown skyline. This vertical neighborhood of nearly 700,000 Square feet will be unlike anything else in the city, bringing the best of the development teams' deep national experience home to Columbus, Ohio. The Hotel is a 206-room, luxury hotel offering an approachable luxury experience amidst a storied and layered design. The space will provide rejuvenation within the vertical neighborhood of The Merchant Building, offering premium services, immediate connection to community interests, and a plethora of thoughtfully curated experiences.  This leader has the ability to see the big picture, direct and engage a team, and proactively plan facilities work needed. This position is responsible for all aspects of the Engineering department, including the proper operation, maintenance, and repair of all HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, electrical, life safety, electrical and mechanical equipment/systems. This leader also invests in their team to help grow future leaders. This leader is the representative of the building and should strive to be use their eye for detail to present useful arguments to continue to invest in the guest experience and asset improvement. Responsibilities
This leader is responsible for all aspects of the Engineering department, ensuring the proper operation, maintenance, and repair of all mechanical, electrical, and life safety systems within the property. Key tasks include leading and managing the engineering team, effectively controlling expenses and managing the budget, and developing an operating strategy aligned with business goals.
