JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Director of Mobile Engineering to lead the strategy, development, and execution of our mobile applications across platforms. This role will oversee a team of talented engineers and collaborate with product, design, and other cross-functional teams to deliver world-class mobile experiences to our users.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proven experience (8+ years) in mobile engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong technical expertise in native iOS (Swift) and Android (Kotlin) development.
  • Experience managing teams of mobile engineers, ideally in a high-growth or consumer-facing company.
  • Deep understanding of mobile architecture, design patterns (MVVM, MVI, etc.), and platform-specific guidelines.
  • Track record of delivering and scaling complex mobile apps with millions of users.
  • Excellent communication, people management, and strategic thinking skills.
  • BS/MS in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Familiarity with cross-platform frameworks (e.g., Flutter, React Native).
  • Experience working in DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and app store release management.
  • Background in performance tuning, mobile analytics, and A/B testing.

  • Leadership & Strategy
  • Define the mobile technology roadmap and long-term vision aligned with the company’s goals.
  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing mobile engineering team.
  • Drive best practices in coding, architecture, security, and performance across mobile platforms (iOS and Android).
  • Delivery & Execution
  • Oversee the development, deployment, and maintenance of all mobile applications.
  • Ensure timely delivery of high-quality software through agile methodologies.
  • Partner with Product Management and Design to scope features and set technical direction.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Collaborate with backend and web teams to ensure seamless API integration and consistent user experience.
  • Work with QA and DevOps to maintain app stability, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing practices.
  • Serve as a mobile technology expert and advocate across the company.
  • Innovation & Growth
  • Stay current with industry trends and assess emerging technologies for future mobile strategy.
  • Drive initiatives around mobile analytics, user feedback, and performance optimization.
