Description
Phoenix Defense seeks an experienced advanced product development executive to lead our Advanced Concepts Division and our expansion into advanced design, system integration, mission performance, and modeling and simulation. The Director, Advanced Concepts will bridge Engineering Services, Manufacturing Services, and Advanced Concepts division to deliver a full range of designs meshed with mission performance and future modeling and simulation capabilities competitive with industry leaders. ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES: * Lead Advanced Concepts product strategy and development * Architect integration between Advanced Concepts Division, Gilbert manufacturing operations and training system technical requirements * Lead Force-on-Force training hardware development including MILES/laser engagement system integration and instrumented training area infrastructure * Provide insight for Joint Simulation Environment and capture support * Drive IP development for internal software products supporting aerospace and training systems * Lead UAS IP exploitation * Author technical volumes for proposals and serve as technical SME for oral presentations * Mentor and develop engineering team; manage product engineers, JSE CLS and engineering support, and Manufacturing Engineering Liaison MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: * Master’s degree in engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Systems) * 10+ years of experience in product development, manufacturing engineering, or systems integration * 10+ years of experience in defense training systems, developmental systems, or military simulation hardware * Demonstrated experience with Advanced Concepts development * Strong understanding of government customer requirements * Proven track record of managing technical teams and delivering complex systems * Active Secret clearance (TS/SCI eligibility preferred)  
Responsibilities
Lead the Advanced Concepts Division to drive product strategy and integrate design, manufacturing, and simulation capabilities. Oversee the development of training hardware, UAS IP exploitation, and the mentorship of the engineering team.
