Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are seeking a hands-on QA leader who will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality across all CrowdStrike Falcon Sensor releases, with a focus on validating compatibility in customer environments and end-to-end scenarios as they relate to the overall Falcon Platform. This role requires a strategic leader with a deep understanding of varied technologies including operating systems, kernel-level testing, and front-end/UI, to build comprehensive end-to-end automation that reflects how enterprises are using the Falcon Platform.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Customer-Centric Quality Assurance: Design and implement a quality engineering strategy that validates CrowdStrike products against real-world customer environments, focusing on comprehensive testing across all features, operating systems, and prevalent third-party applications. Engage with customers from C-suite to practitioners to instill confidence in our quality strategy.
  • End-to-End Testing Strategy: Build and oversee a test framework and methodology to drive robust E2E validation of OS/kernel interactions in various patch states and configurations, front-end user interfaces, backend services, hardware and application compatibility in customer-like environments. Collaborate with release teams outside of sensor, including content, UI, and cloud to ensure the E2E scenarios are covered.
  • Stress, Performance, and Longevity Testing: Oversee teams conducting performance and longevity testing to ensure minimal system overhead for endpoints running the Falcon sensor, along with robustness, stress and longevity testing to ensure the Falcon sensor isn’t adversely affecting long-term endpoint stability.
  • Root Cause Analysis & Feedback: Lead efforts in analyzing endpoint telemetry, integrating feedback into testing processes to prevent recurrences, driving continuous improvements in product quality.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with product, engineering, customer support, and operations teams to ensure a deep understanding of customer use cases and infrastructure, embedding this knowledge into testing strategies.
  • Performance Metrics & Reporting: Define and track quality KPIs, focusing on customer-found defects, test coverage across the platform, and overall release quality.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and expand a high-performing quality engineering team, ensuring the development of scalable and efficient test strategies.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks across the software delivery lifecycle, ensuring the testing strategy scales with product evolution and customer expectations.
