Token is building the future of biometric identity and secure authentication. As stolen credentials and social engineering become the dominant attack vector worldwide, biometric identity is rapidly becoming required across regulated industries, enterprises, and critical infrastructure. This is a rare opportunity to lead Engineering at the exact moment the market inflects. We are looking for an exceptional Director of Engineering to lead and scale our full stack engineering organization across hardware, firmware, software, and cloud services. This role sits on the executive leadership team, includes substantial equity participation, and has direct influence over product strategy, architecture, execution, and company direction. Responsibilities: Own delivery of Token’s end to end platform including custom hardware devices, miniature circuitry and wearable devices, embedded firmware, mobile and desktop applications, and SaaS management services. Lead and grow high performance, fast paced engineering teams across multiple disciplines. Drive architecture decisions spanning silicon, secure elements, miniature circuits, board design, firmware, cryptography, APIs, mobile apps, desktop software, and cloud infrastructure. Establish and scale agile development and DevOps practices across the organization to maximize velocity, quality, and reliability. Ensure products ship on time, at quality, and at scale, from prototype through production. Partner closely with product, security, operations, and go to market leaders as part of the executive team. Build a strong, inclusive engineering culture focused on ownership, accountability, trust, and continuous improvement where top talent wants to work and stay. What we are looking for: Proven experience leading and managing multidisciplinary engineering teams delivering real hardware and software products. Deep background in hardware development including ICs, miniature circuitry, secure elements, board layout, wearable device design, and manufacturing readiness. Strong experience with embedded firmware and systems programming. Hands on understanding of mobile and desktop software development. Experience building and operating SaaS platforms at scale. Experience implementing agile methodologies and modern DevOps practices in fast moving environments. A track record of shipping complex hardware and software products on schedule. Ability to lead through ambiguity, move fast, and make sound technical decisions. Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or CS equivalent experience. Advanced degree is a plus.
