The Director of Enterprise Infrastructure and Services reports to the CIO and provides leadership to align IT infrastructure and services with business strategy. This role leads digital transformation and cloud modernization through planning, implementation, and operations of scalable technologies and processes. The Director enables business and application team success through modern infrastructure and DevOps practices, manages risk related to security, compliance, availability, and business continuity, and builds a responsive, customer-focused service culture. The role oversees Technical Services functions and manages budgets while optimizing operational and cloud costs. Location: The successful candidate will work in a hybrid capacity between our Home Office in Enumclaw, WA, and remotely. Candidate must live within driving distance of our Home Office and have high-speed internet (internet speed test required). Hiring Range: $196,700 - $218,600* Salary Range: $196,700 - $240,000 *The hiring range represents Mutual of Enumclaw’s current hiring pay scale for this role. Responsibilities Supervisory Responsibilities: Directly leads supervisors and staff supporting enterprise infrastructure and services, including network/security administration, telecommunications, cloud infrastructure/platform services, distributed processing, server administration, operations, and help desk. Responsibilities: Infrastructure Services and Operations Develop and execute short- and long-term infrastructure strategies aligned with business objectives, standards, and risk tolerance, emphasizing cloud migration, automation, and infrastructure-as-code. Establish technology strategy, standards, and governance for hybrid and multi-cloud environments. Lead cloud modernization efforts including workload readiness assessment, migration planning, and ongoing optimization. Partner with IT teams and stakeholders to deliver services and projects using agile and DevOps practices. Serve as technical advisor to the CIO, IT teams, and business units; evaluate emerging technologies and sourcing models. Recommend and implement cost-effective infrastructure solutions supporting cloud-first and modern infrastructure patterns. Establish cloud governance and Centers of Excellence to ensure secure and consistent adoption. Information Security Oversee security operations, policies, and procedures, including cloud security posture and zero-trust principles. Ensure infrastructure and systems align with security and risk requirements, including IAM and data protection in hybrid environments. Ensure administrative controls comply with corporate policy and security frameworks (ex: CIS, NIST, CSA). Disaster Recovery Align infrastructure with business continuity needs using high-availability and cloud-based disaster recovery solutions. Ensure disaster recovery testing and training supports effective execution, including automated recovery and failover. Qualifications Required Skills/Abilities: Success leading in complex, fast-paced, and ambiguous environments. Ability to build and develop high-performing teams with modern infrastructure and cloud skillsets. Strong collaboration and relationship-building across IT and business leadership. Proven experience leading cloud transformation and modernizing legacy infrastructure. Strong infrastructure and operations leadership across on-prem, cloud, and hybrid environments. Deep knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform/CloudFormation), and Kubernetes. Strong planning, execution, and communication skills. Strong business acumen including cloud economics and FinOps principles. Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience. 10+ years of IT management experience preferred, including 5+ years leading cloud infrastructure and modernization initiatives. Cloud certifications strongly preferred (AWS/Azure/GCP architect-level or equivalent). Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer, including video conferencing.
