POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Director of Enterprise Technology is a senior technologist role responsible for driving technical strategy and excellence throughout the entire customer lifecycle—from pre-sales to full-scale implementation. This role focuses heavily on Solution Architecture and Sales Engineering, ensuring that our complex SaaS solutions are designed, demonstrated, and delivered with the highest level of technical acumen. With over 25 years of experience in technology leadership, the ideal candidate will have a proven track record as both a delivery leader and a principal architect in our industry domain.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience:
  • 25+ years of progressive technology leadership experience, including roles as a delivery leader and principal architect within SaaS, retail, and restaurant ecosystems.
  • Extensive experience in driving large-scale enterprise technology projects and in the strategic deployment of integrated solutions covering POS, online/omnichannel, clienteling, loyalty, fulfillment, and payments.
  • Technical Expertise:
  • Deep understanding of modern software architecture, cloud technologies, mobile platforms, and modernization strategies.
  • Proven ability to design and implement scalable, secure, and innovative technology solutions in complex environments.
  • Leadership & Communication:
  • Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional teams and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of articulating technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline is required.
  • Preferred:
  • Experience working in or with both enterprise and SMB markets.
  • Track record of fostering innovation and digital transformation within dynamic, fast-paced environments.
Responsibilities
  • Pre-Sales Leadership:
  • Partner with sales teams to engage in technical discovery and to design tailored, scalable solutions for both enterprise and SMB clients.
  • Lead technical presentations, proof-of-concepts, and demonstrations that articulate the value and feasibility of our solutions.
  • Solution Architecture & Sales Engineering:
  • Architect robust SaaS solutions that integrate POS, Online/Omni-Channel, Clienteling, Loyalty, Fulfillment, and Payments systems with a focus on mobile and modernization technologies.
  • Develop and refine solution blueprints and technical roadmaps to address customer needs and market trends.
  • Implementation & Delivery Support:
  • Provide expert technical guidance during the implementation phase to ensure seamless integration and successful project delivery.
  • Collaborate with delivery teams to troubleshoot complex technical challenges and ensure post-sales satisfaction.
  • Leadership & Team Management:
  • Mentor and manage a high-performing team of solution architects and sales engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Build strategic partnerships with internal stakeholders including Product Management, Engineering, and Customer Success teams.
  • Strategic Innovation & Industry Thought Leadership:
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in SaaS, mobile, and enterprise solutions to drive modernization initiatives.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and customer engagements, promoting our technical vision and capabilities.
