Description Precision Terminal Logistics is looking for a EH&S Manager. This person will be responsible for developing and maintaining a comprehensive safety program to drive safety strategies. This person will provide guidance and safety curriculum in an effort to reduce worker’s compensation and general liability claims. Responsibilities: · Develop and maintain a safety program according to Precision’s core values · Guide management team during procedure implementation · Develop training manuals and safety curriculum · Direct employees at all levels to ensure compliance with all policies and procedures · Provide managers with safety recommendations during on-site visits to ensure the safety of all team members · Conduct incident investigations to determine root cause and develop solutions for prevention · Set annual objectives and monitor results regularly · Conduct audits at various locations to ensure 100% compliance · Create policies to minimize safety risks and occupational health issues · Ensure that all programs/procedures meet state and federal legal requirements · Produce required OSHA reports and safety metrics · Aggressively monitor and manage worker’s compensation claims and general liability claims · Position may include any other safety-related tasks not explicitly mentioned in this list Requirements Job Requirements · Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety or related field (preferred) · 5+ years developing, implementing and managing a safety program in a transportation related field · Knowledge of safety-related state and federal regulations · Proven leadership abilities · Experience with OSHA reporting · Previous experience with worker’s compensation programs · Proficient in Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel · Problem solving skills · Time-management skills: ability to prioritize and meet deadlines · Detail oriented · Effective written and verbal communication skills · Valid driver’s license for travel Working Conditions: · This position will require up to 75% domestic travel · Position may require sitting, standing, squatting, pulling, pushing, walking, climbing to demonstrate proper methods during training sessions
