Omaha Country Club, a premier private club founded in 1899, is known for its championship golf course, fine dining, and commitment to creating an exceptional experience for our members and their guests. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Director of Facilities & Engineering to oversee the operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of our clubhouse, event venues, and athletic facilities.
This pivotal leadership role blends hands-on technical expertise with strategic oversight. You will manage all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and building systems while coordinating preventative maintenance programs, capital improvement projects, and vendor partnerships. From preserving the elegance of our historic buildings to ensuring the smooth operation of modern amenities, you will play a vital part in upholding the club’s reputation for excellence.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the maintenance and repair of all club facilities, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, steam boiler systems, roofing, elevators, kitchen equipment, and laundry equipment.
  • Oversee pool operations, ensuring proper water chemistry and safe, well-maintained aquatic facilities.
  • Perform hands-on diagnostics and repairs or coordinate with qualified contractors to address issues promptly.
  • Perform needed repairs to improve the aesthetics and safety of the interior areas of the Clubhouse and campus buildings.
  • Develop and manage preventative maintenance programs to ensure optimal performance and longevity of all systems.
  • Plan and oversee capital improvement projects, including bid procurement and contractor management.
  • Prepare and maintain required safety, health, and fire compliance reports, ensuring timely renewal of all permits and licenses.
  • Collaborate with leadership to develop operational and capital budgets and monitor expenditures for cost-effectiveness.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment with a strong emphasis on employee safety.
  • Provide on-call support for facility emergencies as needed.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with team members.
  • Reports to the General Manager.
