As a key member of the Hotel’s Leadership team, you will collaborate with the General Manager & department heads on business strategy and guide the Hotel’s financial operations and the security of the Hotel's assets. #hospitlaityisaworkofheart Job Description We are looking for a Director of Finance, strong communicator, entrepreneurial, strong business, legal and compliance acumen. You will be a Business Partner for the Owners' and right hand to the General Manager. About the role… As the Director of Finance you have broad responsibility over the financial and accounting dimensions of the Hotel. You are to ensure that the Hotel remains financially healthy and that all departments are adhering to good financial and accounting practices. What you’ll be doing: Overseeing all finance (AP, AR,stores and payroll) and purchasing functions Leading the financial reporting of the Hotel and make recommendations to improve revenue and profitability. You’ll be the financial conscience of the Leadership Team and assist in delivering awesome projects. Collaborating with stakeholders of the business, and drive the financial business support. Implementing and maintaining exceptional accounting practices as required by ACCOR and USALI standards. Ensuring financial control practices are ethical and legal. Supporting revenue maximisation across all departments of the Hotel. Mentoring and developing finance team members. Monthly forecasting and annual budgeting. Statutory reporting for payroll tax, BAS, WorkCover & FBT. You’ll be the first point of contact for all Hotel financial and accounting-related issues with owners, auditors (internal and external), Accor Regional team and regulatory agencies. Qualifications About you… A strategic thinker with demonstrated experience in financial management in the Hotel industry. 4 years’ accounting experience with leadership capability to develop the finance team Excellent communication, strong analytical skills, and ability to collaborate and champion change Bachelor’s degree / higher education qualification and or equivalent Professional accounting or certification such as CPA or ICA is preferred The proven ability to coach and train and lead team members A clear communicator with strong management and administrative practices including, you guessed it. Attention to detail. The ability to work on a week-end should EOM fall over a week-end. Additional Information What’s in it for you?
